Why is operation repo so fake

Viewers also recalled episodes where pepper spray was the weapon of choice by the team. If all these fights were truly real, they would probably be at court every day, getting slapped by a whole host of lawsuits for excessive use of force and more. Repossessing is serious business. This show makes anyone in the business look like a clown. This very forum also had a viewer share how the tow truck shown in the series is a Ford F with a makeshift towing assembly in the bed of the pickup, not the actual kind of heavy-duty stuff that vehicle repossession teams use , which to anyone in the repossession business is laughable.

While this may be a little murky, guess something like this could be true. The lead star of a reality TV series could in fact be the producer of his own show. But then again, some of the cast are actors with plenty of experience.

For instance, in the later seasons of the show, Ronnie Tyrone Lee joins the team as a repo man. But in , the same year he came on the show, he was also an actor in the TV series, Major Crimes. In fact, Lee has also been credited for parts in various other series as well as TV movies. In his online resume, he is listed as an actor, producer, writer, and director. The show gives an entertaining look at what people would in some situations would have to contend with. I don't take it to serious and don't mind watching it.

Not a hater and have seen worse acting that people have received and Oscar for. I hear all the time about wrestling and other "reality based" shows being scripted.. I am not naive and although I have outgrown my WWE days, this show recalls all of what I liked about wrestling back in the day..

I don't mind scripted TV even if it is portrayed as not scripted. It would be very much a fortune to actually have a camera crew to follow a repo team around just to catch the crazy ones.. COPS works because almost every situation a cop shows up to is interesting, and even then it's edited.

This show works, though repetitive, because I get to see drama based on what a re-possessor might go through. A lot of documentaries of detectives cases include dramatic reenactments and this show is no different if there wasn't a camera team there, why not stage it as it will still be entertaining. My point is that it isn't a top shelf quality show, but no one is expecting any awards, it is just a fun romp like bait car, but instead of thieves it involves people who skip out on their car payment.

CarpenterBretL 5 November This is one of the more entertaining shows I have seen. I don't get all the low reviews? Almost all the bad criticism is that the show is fake. So what the reviewers are really saying is that "The show would be great if it were real. My wife no longer watches Cheaters now that we can watch Operation Repo. We no longer have to talk to have quality time together now that we can watch Operation Repo together.

But now for the spoiler. Don't read past this point if you don't want to be spoiled. Operation Repo is not fake. It is reality TV. If this is reality, I want no part of it. I enjoy a little Lizard Lick once in a while so decided to give this one a squint. Good thing I only risked one eye and then for only 10 minutes. I was so repulsed, blood was squirting out of my head. The girls, term "girls" used loosely, not being sure from what part of the animal kingdom they hail, are excruciatingly unattractive.

That and the way they see themselves as attractive is just more than my sensibilities can tolerate. In the real world, that would be considered bestiality! As for the rest of the cast? Unintelligent, uneducated, illiterate, and as equally repulsive.

What a cruel parody on humanity, yeah, civilization. Please, Cancel this show. Exposing the public to this nonsense is cruel and unusual punishment. The scenarios, as well as the humans in this are just too far out there to believe. This show is so terrible that I challenge anyone to sit through a whole episode of this trash. The re-enacted scenes are poorly scripted most likely just ad libbed and possibly contain the worst actors obviously unpaid to ever get jobs in TV history.

To add drama, the scenarios played out are exaggerated to the point of stupidity. If you are considering watching this show, you would be better off sitting in a dark room and gouging your eyes out with a broken rotted stick, while plugging your ears with power drills. Watched the show then in trutv at times. Watched the showed in tubi All 11 seasons in tubi. Entertained, fake or dramatized stories of events for the show was a fabulous pass time for us here..

Like others will like to see more of Operation Repo. This form of entertainment on TV was great in the pandemic times. To us Three's Company and Operation Repo. Drama, stories, who knows what, and laughter One of the best shows I ever watched and great cast. Of course they are going to show repo's that go wrong. The relationship between Froy and Sonja is typical of ex's who still care about each other.

Matt keep you laughing at his antics and it's always great to see him, the muscle guy, get knocked on his butt! Lou is the most believable of the crew. Of course he is the owner and the producer, but he is just himself. His relationship with his daughter seems very real. The way the debtors act is very real. Most are going to deny that they are behind on payments. After all, who wants to have their vehicle towed away, especially when the cameras are rolling.

I'm not a big fan of "reality shows", but this is so different I can't help but watch every week. I can't imagine what they will do with the full length movie, but I'll be going for sure.

This show is like Jerry Springer with a tow truck! Keep up the funny stuff guys! Once again another reality TV show that is not even real. To start off what you see on this show is FAKE. There is a disclaimer saying the show is based on true events. In the show the repo men themselves break many many laws in the process. They cannot disturb the peace and they should know that. Headlocking people, throwing them to the ground and pepper spraying them is completely uncharacteristic of a repo man yet it seems to happen every show in every clip.

The part that set me off was when a dwarf aka little person was riding shotgun with one of the repo men. They of course get into the predictable argument and brawl with the other party, but out of nowhere the dwarf pops out of the back of the truck and puts one of the guys in a front head and arm choke.

Utterly dumb and unbelievable. My advice? Don't waste your time with this show. It's Jerry Springer material. The gongorilla named matt is a b-list actor. The show is a joke with people, in some cases, destroying their own cars. The fights are so unbelievable and the cast has some of the ugliest people on unreality TV.

They are all obese, smart asses and Matt does his fake roid rage bit like 5 times an episode. He would be such a liability that nobody would truly employ that guy. Buying a repo car is very similar to buying a normal used car. At the end of the day, buying a repossessed vehicle can be a way to get a used car at a slightly cheaper price, however your concerns should still be the same as if you were going directly to the dealer and purchasing a certified pre-owned car.

However, the value of a repossessed car decreases much more slowly. If the car was well maintained, it would be able to sell at a price close its original purchase price. Those discounts may be getting deeper in coming months, experts say. But repos come with risk, and you need to guard against buying a dud.

If you can, buy a car that is still under warranty, or which has a comprehensive motor plan still in place.
